Understanding the OC RAG Status

We focus on two specific types of metrics, New Incorporations & Company Updates:

  • New Incorporations: how often new incorporations become available on opencorporates
  • Company Updates: When a company’s profile is updated with new/different information at the register

We set a baseline expectation, this is based upon how long we would expect to get published companies and how consistently we are able to perform this, this is our ‘Expectation Date’.

New incorporations

Method : Compare the time since we last retrieved a company to our expectation threshold

StatusDescription
GreenOur expectation is being met
AmberOur expectation is missed by between 1 – 15%
RedOur expectation is missed by more than 15%
OfflineNo new companies have been added in over 180 days

Company Updates

Method : Measure how long it takes to update 75% of companies, or how recently we completed any updates for delta/in-sync jurisdictions

StatusDescription
GreenOur expectation is being met
AmberIt took between 1 – 15% longer than expected to refresh 75% of companies in the jurisdiction
